Back when I was trying to name her, I had all sorts of ideas and was trying to find out which she would respond to. Then anniemal suggested "Perrine", told me about the book and why it seemed appropriate, and pointed out that the name was similar to a sound that Perrine makes and responds to. Sure enough, she responded to the name, and it became hers.
