The Vampire Car... Lookitme, snickering, even though of course it's horrific.
(People I ride with regularly get used to the periodic irritated "Signal. Dammit." in a flat voice from the passenger seat. They know it is not addressed at them, but to $IDIOT_OF_THE_MOMENT.)
I wish I could have joined the dinner, especially since it was in Plato's and thus convenient, but I really had to work. And then I failed my saving throw vs. insomnia as well. So I worked some more. You could say it was beneficial in my case, but the head full of cotton effect today isn't worth it.
I find I can get away with a lot more whining if I give people an excuse to giggle or snicker during my whine.
And yes, I've noticed your saying, "Signal. Dammit." The first couple of times it surprised me because I hadn't felt my lips move, then I realized it was coming from the passenger seat. ;-)
