I'm doing better than yesterday but my sleep schedule is still out of whack. I'm going to see whether I can turn that to my advantage somehow, since I have to be in Gaithersburg tomorrow way earlier than I usually manage to get out of the house, to help set up the sound system. Today is going to be dedicated to making sure I'm all prepared for tomorrow on all fronts, including sleep, and everything else I squeeze in -- mail, LJ, bills, etc. -- will be "around the edges".
Of course, part of preparing for tomorrow is finally remembering to post here about tomorrow's concerts.
The Homespun Ceilidh Band will perform at the ... well I've heard it called both Washingtonian Center and Rio Center ... in Gaithersburg, MD after the St. Patrick's Parade. We're scheduled to play from 11:00 to 13:00, but if the parade ends a little early, we'll start a little early, so, ah, come early.
And then in the evening, The Homespun Ceilidh Band is performing at the Greenbelt Arts Center in Greenbelt, MD, at 20:00 (thats 8:00 PM for the folks who prefer 12-hour time). According to the GAC web site, admission is $12.00 ($10.00 seniors and students).
Not every member of the band will be at each show, so come to both in case you miss something. ;-) And according to the last version of the plan I've heard, we should have "pre-release" copies of our long-awaited second album, Home, at one or both concerts! So come and buy a copy of what I've been listening to in my car for the past several months so I can talk about specific tracks and have folks know what I'm referring to. But if you listen to it on your way home, plug in your radar detector -- it's fun driving music, and easy to get carried away by. (We're supposed to have the CDs at the Greenbelt concert; I'm not certain whether we'll have them with us in Gaithersbrg, but I hope so.)
I hope to see some of y'all tomorrow! And I expect to be dog-tired on Sunday.
