IIRC, that's what Karl G. does. Lurch, Jeeves, Ruggles, etc.
I've got my workstations and the main Linux box named after musicians (tipton, rupaul, boygeorge, carlos), the name server named for a movie director (wood), the firewall named for a soldier (stjoan), the syslog/timeserver/etc. box named after a governor (cornbury), and the dialout machine named for a diplomat (eon). Ifwhen I've got a laptop running, I'll name it after a travel writer (morris), and when I get around to configuring an IDS machine, I'll name it after someone from law enforcement (hoover).
I don't remember whether you were around the last time I talked about it, but yes, there's a unifying theme. ;-)
