From Winter.Ayers, 2005-05-19:

I saw a report on (i think) CNN about the new terrorism classifications. Prominently featured in the report was footage of some SUVs and suchlike with various ecological messages apparently spray-painted onto the side.

The Talking Heads were, of course, giving this subject the gravest of treatments and so on. At the end of the report, though, they showed one of the owners washing the "terrorism" off his SUV. As in, with soap and water.

It wasn't even vandalism, it probably wasn't even a crime.

I just stood there with my jaw dropped for a few seconds, thinking "This... THIS is what has everyone all concerned? THIS IS IT?"

Then i turned the TV off and went away for a bit.
