In the big scheme of things, "a group of people attacked me and drove away" is necessarily lower on the police priority list than "there's a beating going on right now".
of course. but then, there's no real proof either way that they weren't just taking their own sweet time, either. And 911 calls should *never* need to wait that long, or be ignored, a *second* time, when called in by the ambulance.
