Damn straight it isn't. You're probably dealing with a dying battery, and if it's not dead, it soon will be if this kind of radical up and down keeps up.
You need to borrow a battery charger and take the battery *inside* and see if it even takes a charge, charges up, and holds the charge. Don't do it in the car because even idle, the car has loads that will skew the data. It is also probably bad to leave live tech/tools out on your street. Alternately, you could have a serious alternator problem, which if you do, has probably damaged the battery.
I've borrowed a charger. Ty said to go ahead and charge it in place, but I'm nervous about just leaving an extension cord running across the sidewalk for that so I'll probably go ahead and bring the battery inside.
I expect the battery to be fine, but yes, I'll check it. I'm not feeling terribly confident in that guess.
