*nod* I kinda figured it was a given that the army would continue to be funded (and assumed the wrangling over the amount had already been done), and the only question was whether the unrelated oil-drilling rider would still be stuck leech-like to it. Thus the title for this entry, to reflect which part of it I thought was the news.

I may not support the war, but as long as our soldiers are over there, they'd bloody well better get paid and fed and supplied with suitable arms and armour.
