I didn't get the impression she was bringing it to me; I think she just wanted a place to drop it and chase it again, and decided either that the bedroom was a comfortable place or that she wanted to be near me while she played (she's been following me around from room to room a lot again lately). It didn't seem like she was presenting it ... Then again, I was already going into my "oh no, she's got something in her mouth, probably alive, and she's about to drop it on the bed where it can run under the blankets" reaction and trying to position myself to trap it quickly, so I wasn't paying as much attention to her body language as I might have otherwise. (I wasn't quick enough.)
She's a real sweetie, but I wish she weren't so cocky and/or careless with her prey. I undesrtand wanting to chase it around some more, but she gives them too much of a head start.
When Socks was a kitten he enjoyed bringing his prey into the house. Thankfully usually the basement. There is nothing funnier in the world than my father trying to chase a live squirel around the basement with the cat on the other side of the door clawing desperatly to get at his prey. This is a phase that they do outgrow. Hang in there :}
The scrawny, incontinent, therefore outdoor cat does not take them on. Hereabouts, they're bigger and meaner than he is.
It's okay. I see feathers about, and caught him eating maybe a mole the other week, (whence his icky parasites), but I mostly just try to get him to eat.
