When Socks was a kitten he enjoyed bringing his prey into the house.
Thankfully usually the basement. There is nothing funnier in the world than my father trying to chase a live squirel around the basement with the cat on the other side of the door clawing desperatly to get at his prey.
This is a phase that they do outgrow. Hang in there

The scrawny, incontinent, therefore outdoor cat does not take them on. Hereabouts, they're bigger and meaner than he is.

It's okay. I see feathers about, and caught him eating maybe a mole the other week, (whence his icky parasites), but I mostly just try to get him to eat.
