Well, I didn't mean I'd like the meat, sugar, and dairy all in the same combination. The first is separate from the other two, as in sometimes I'm going to go into a "hamburger. Steak. Meat." mode. The latter two are rather handily combined in... wait for it... ice cream.

Anyone surprised?

Anyone?

Bueller?

A good gravy is built on cream. Thus, we already have meat and dairy. And sugar is sometimes just the thing to take the worst sting off a pepper.

And given that there exist herring ice creams, I would not be very surprised if someone came up with a steak tartare sorbet.

Well, there is that. There is also the undeniable fact that I love beef stroganoff, especially the kind Chort (mutual friend of me and [livejournal.com profile] dglenn) makes. And I think he uses lotsa table cream in that.

I've recently heard of a meat-flavoured ice cream; might have been in your journal. And yesterday, Jesse my belly-dancer friend gave some sushi-lollipops to another friend who had come along to watch the show. They were shaped like little pieces of sushi, but I don't know if they tasted anything similar...

I have been lucky enough to be able to sample garlic lollipops. I bought a tubful of assorted garlic candy at the event.

Garlic lollipops I'd never seen. I've enjoyed garlic butter-creams (made by [livejournal.com profile] anusara) though. Yummmmm!

[makes mental note to pay close attention to the sorbet flavours at [livejournal.com profile] jbsegal's next party]

Interesting concept, but as a vegetarian I think I'll leave the taste-tests to others.

Ah. I was just reacting to the single hyphen in the "if you've been embarassed about your comfort food but are willing to disclose it anyhow" box. ;-)

There's an annual party I really must drag you to one of these years. Really.
